Resolution Declaring Nine Vehicles and One Street Striper Surplus, Authorizing the Sale of One Truck to the San Leandro Unified School District for $1,000, and Selling the Remaining Vehicles and the Striper at Public Auction

WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City purposes; and
WHEREAS, nine vehicles and one street striper have been identified as no longer useful to City operations and should be declared surplus and sold; and
WHEREAS, one of the vehicles, a 2001 Ford ¾ ton truck was agreed to be purchased by the San Leandro Unified School District for $1,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
Declares the 2001 Ford ¾ ton truck surplus and authorizes the sale to the San Leandro Unified School District for $1,000; and
Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, declares other listed equipment surplus and authorizes the sale of eight vehicles and one street striper at public auction scheduled Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, 2012.
