SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends Council approve the Non-Professional Services Agreement between the City of San Leandro and Chrisp Company for the amount of $62,780.00 to refresh the existing lane markings on specified streets.

 

BACKGROUND

The Public Works Department refreshes street markings in accordance with an established area maintenance schedule. Each year the department maintains asphalt repair and pavement markings in one of four established zones. The proposed contract for street re-striping includes lane markings and cross walks on specified streets in the 2011 zone and 2012 zone (see attached list of streets).

 

The City’s Purchasing Division issued an invitation for bids for the contract per Bid number 11-12.007. Three firms submitted bids by the April 4, 2012 due date. The low bid response was submitted by Chrisp Company in the amount of $62,780.00.

 

Fiscal Impacts

This agreement will cost $62,780.00. There is adequate funding in account 140-31-056-5240 for the project.
