RESOLUTION Designating Voting Delegate and Alternate(s) for the League of California Cities 2014 Annual Conference (provides for discussion and designation of a voting delegate and alternate voting delegate[s])

Body

WHEREAS, the League of California Cities (“League”) 2014 Annual Conference is scheduled for September 3-5 in Los Angeles; and

WHEREAS, an important part of the Annual Conference is the Annual Business Meeting, scheduled for September 5, in which the League membership considers and takes action on resolutions that establish League policy; and

WHEREAS, the City Council must designate a voting delegate in order to vote at the Annual Business Meeting; and

WHEREAS, the City Council may appoint up to two alternate voting delegates in the event that the designated voting delegate is unable to serve in that capacity.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:

That Councilmember _____ is hereby designated as the voting delegate; and

That Councilmember(s) _____ is/are hereby designated as the alternate voting delegate(s).
