Resolution Approving the Amendment to the San Leandro FY 2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Action Plan and Authorizing the Execution of All Related Documents by the City Manager and Submission of the Amended Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

WHEREAS, the Federal Government has made Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding available to local communities to meet local community development objectives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the FY 2010-2014 Five-Year Consolidated Plan on April 19, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the FY 2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Action Plan on April 18, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the Five-Year Consolidated Plans and the Annual Action Plans may be amended, and the substantial amendments to the Plans are subject to the citizen participation process in accordance with the City’s HUD-approved Citizen Participation Plan (CPP); and
WHEREAS, City staff followed and complied with the Citizen Participation Plan by making the Amendment to the FY 2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Action Plan available to the public for comment; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the Amendment to the FY 2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Action Plan to 1) add Surf Apartments acquisition and rehabilitation under “Housing Activities” and allocate $35,000 in CDBG funds for this new project (via the City’s unallocated funds that have been carried over from the prior year); and
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said Amendment to the FY 2011-2012 Consolidated Annual Action Plan is hereby approved.
