RESOLUTION Authorizing the City Manager to Execute an Amendment to the Consulting Services Agreement with Townsend Public Affairs for State Legislative Advocacy Services, to Extend the Term of the Agreement by an Additional One Year Period, in an Amount Not to Exceed $60,000 Annually

WHEREAS on February 18, 2014, the City Council authorized the City Manager to enter into a one-year agreement between the City of San Leandro and Townsend Public Affairs, for the provision of state level advocacy services; and
WHEREAS, for the past year, Townsend Public Affairs provided the City Council with excellent services representing the City of San Leandro’s interests in the state capitol; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to extend the term of its existing agreement with Townsend Public Affairs for an additional year of services; and
WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents of the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows:
That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and
That the appropriation of $60,000 from the General Fund economic uncertainty reserve, and transfer of $60,000 to the City Manager’s Contingency Fund (Account # 010-12-020-5120 is hereby authorized.
